I've been in the rescue for several months and accomplished quite a bit. For one, I used to be over 100lbs! My foster dad was a great personal trainer and helped me safely get to a happy and healthy 55 lbs with a proper diet and exercise. Isn't that incredible?! My favorite part of the weight loss journey is that I can now easily hop on the couch to roll on my back for you to rub my belly! I adore human attention. Kisses, belly rubs, ear scratches – I want it all! Since I am seven years old, I don't want a high-energy dog to be in my face. I'm ready for a nap, not a wrestling match! I'd love to be your best friend, but I could also be a good fit for a home with a lower-energy dog. My foster friends say it will take time, understanding, and dedication to make sure I successfully transition to a multi-dog household. Sorry, folks, no kitties for me! I am obsessed with dog toys and things that I think are dog toys! I'm not always willing to share them. Sometimes I lower my head, pin my ears, and let out a little growl to let you know I don't want you to take my prized possession from me. My foster dad has worked relentlessly on this behavior to be an easily manageable characteristic. If you have some yummy treats, I'll take those, and you can have the toy. One of my other favorite things is my 42-inch crate! I LOVE having a space to hang out in when I'm on my own. It helps keeps me out of trouble! My foster dad has also used baby gates to give me more room to roam when left alone. Don't waste your money on fancy beds or blankets for my area, though – I love how the cold plastic feels on my belly! Plus, I'll probably eat or guard them. We could spend that money on an ice cream date instead!
