My Story

April: Monty has been adopted! We are so pleased he has found a new home with Dr. Rebele and his family. Not only will he have a great home but the best vet care a Shar-pei could ever ask for! Thank you Monty for being such a good boy and to Dr. Rebele and famiy for making him yours.

February 20th:
Monty has been taken home by Dr. Rebele who fell for him when meeting him at his clinic where Monty had his eye surgery. Dr. Rebele has 2 other dogs and two young children who Monty will have to be accepted by and if all goes well he will move in for good soon! Thank you Dr. Rebele for taking Monty into your wonderful home and we hope your crews falls for him as hard as we have!

Monty Update:

Monty's entropian surgery went smashingly well and he is now much more comfortable and ready for his new home! Huge thank you's to Dr. Rebele and staff at Cedar Grove animal hospital for taking such good care of Monty's eyes.

Monty is a wonderful companion who loves to meet new friends. He has met so many new people, new dogs and has even become very friendly with the cat in his foster home. He is housebroken, clean as can be and has the softest and most beautiful coat.

Monty is going to make someone very happy to have him so please let us introduce you. You will be as smitten as can be, everyone who meets him is! He is a wonderful boy who will thrive once settled into a new home. He is so well mannered and gentle. A great natured boy who deserves a loving family to spoil him once again. He'd love to stay with his foster family forever and they'd love to keep him but know he has a family out there to make happy, they just have to find him.

Monty is not fond of being left alone for any length of time but will get used to some alone time once he has a consistant routine. A daily routine does wonders for a dog and with one we are certain he will do just fine when he has to be on his own.
His foster mom and siblings are all over the map with the times they are in and out. Monty would love a bit more stability in his life. He is not sure what to make of all these changes. All this new stuff has made him a little uneasy and he has decided to take it out on his blankets when left alone. He doesn't bark to let out his feelings but he does chew his blanky and this shows he is not that comfy on his own, at least not yet. He will be so happy to have a forever home and a place to hang his hat for good.

February 7th:

Monty has arrived! Monty is a young adult male who has come to TnT Rescue from the SPCA in the East Kootenays. Pacific Coastal Airlines took care of Monty's flight here no charge and we thank them very much as this trip will bring him closer to finding a new home.

Monty likes other dogs, loves people, and is a friendly guy. He has lived with children and other animals so a home with both or either would be fine. A home with kids old enough to play with him and who won't let him steal all their food would be best! He likes to eat and will eat just about anything so needs to be watched around food if there are kids involved. He is very gentle and will sit and wait for treats and food but if given the opportunity will sneak food away from little hands we are pretty sure.

Monty knows basic commands but does sometimes jump up when excited. He loves car rides and is a great passenger. He also loves adventure and will be up for anything you are but also likes to get ample rest. Monty will keep up with you on a hike and then cuddle up by the fire to relax afterwards. He'd love to live with another dog and is doing just fine with the cat in his foster home as well.

Monty will be ready for his new home once he has had a needed entropian eye surgery. This surgery is something most Shar-pei need at some point and is very common, to find out more about entropian surgery and Shar-pei in general please visit www.tntsharpeirescue.com.
We'd love to introduce you to Monty so please contact us if you'd like to meet him!
