Monkey was dragged into the shelter by his owners, all skin and bones. This dobie x bull mastiff pup, was just 5 months old, and although named Bruiser, looked as though all he wanted to do was roll up and disappear. The poor fella was a mess, and completely petrified of the whole world, especially those mean humans. Luckily Monkey, now Charlie, proved himself resilient. Within 3 weeks he had gained 20 pounds, was starting to look like a normal dog, and more importantly was learning about how great people can be. He started to play, to wag his tail, and to eagerly greet people he knew. That is when Fan, and her golden retriever stepped in. They slowly acquainted themselves with Monkey, and decided they were up for the challenge. We are so grateful for their commitment to Charlie!
