My Story

UPDATE June 13, 07>>> Well our sweet boy is finally all fixed up and feeling like a real dog again! His foster Momma could not part with this special boy and will be in to officially adopt him!!! THANKS BETTY Update April 24/07- Molson has had his recheck at the vets and everything is going very well. He is healing perfectly and is now allowed to go for longer walks to get some of that energy out and can even play in the backyard off leash! Thank you so much Betty for taking such good care of him and forgiving him for his little puppy mistakes! March 22, 2007 UPDATE!!! HURRAY! Molson has gone to a foster home.... He will be with his new foster mommy until his back has healed. Stay tuned for more updates on Molson. He has a re-check at the vets April 9th... Cross your fingers for good results. Meet Molson...one of the sweetest dogs we have come across to date. When we were called about him, we realized he was injured and took him straight to the vet only to find out he had a broken disc in his back. He spent weeks at the vet and is now in our shelter, confined to cage rest until he is healed. Molson is in desperate need of a foster home until he is well enough to be adopted. Even with all the pain he is in, he is incredibly loving and affectionate. All of our staff spend time in his kennel and he loves to crawl into our lap and snuggle. He is very emotional and upset being here...he craves all the human contact he can get. He hasn't shown the littlest sign of agression, even when being moved or touched in a spot that may be sore. He is more than happy to crawl entirely in your lap and give kisses. Due to his injuries we are asking for a foster home for at least a month until he is strong again. He must be in a home where he doesn't need to go up or down stairs, and somewhere that doesn't have a high level of activity. A calm dog may be ok as long as they could be kept from playing. If he gets too excited he could reinjure himself. He is mobile and can walk perfectly, but is in fragile condition. He would need to be confined to small area when he can't be supervised. He is also on a combination of medications for various pains and injuries, but with foster care we would cover all of his expenses. Please help our poor boy, we know it is a lot to ask, but he is too lonely to stay here for the next month or two.
