If you could have seen how I looked when my rescuer found me, you would never believe I’m the same dog! My fur was matted all the way down to my skin, I was covered with burrs and cactus bits. I was, to say the least, absolutely filthy, VERY hungry, and terribly bewildered. After they shaved me down to practically nothing, they found that I only weigh 16 pounds, which for a guy my size is pretty pathetic. I am probably a mix of English sheepdog and something else, am only about a year old, but despite all I’ve been through, I am as sweet and friendly as can be. I guess I’m just so glad to have been saved and cleaned up and fed that I’ll be forever grateful to the wonderful people here at TALGV and to the lucky family that gets to call me theirs. It goes without saying (but I will anyway), that I’ve had all the necessary shots and other things they do to guys to make me into a prime candidate for adoption any day now. (P.S. If you’d like to rename me, I wouldn’t mind a bit – who knows, maybe when my fur grows out I can be called “Curly”!) (December 11, 2006)
