Mitchell- adopted!

Mitchell, the not qutie a Pit Bull, has a new name (Booker) along with a new home! He had a huge Bully Buddies fan club. With his wiggling charm, and ever hopeful persona, he left many of us swooning. Even being bumped around a few foster homes did not phase this easy-going fella- he thought all the new adventures were great! We were all suprised that it took him so long to find his home, but good things come to those who wait! He has been adopted by Matt and Kathy, a great, dog-experienced couple who first fell in love with Rottie x not so Pit Bull, etc. mixes when their daughter adopted an equally handsome bloke. Better yet their daughter is now volunteering with us at our training classes! Thank-you to all who fostered him, and Matt and Kathy for falling for him!

Here is an update from his new home:

Mitch is great! He is the happiest boy in town! He has settled right into our home and onto our couch. He loves "booking it" around the backyard - so much so that we've changed his name to "Booker". (He didn't seem to be too familiar with the name "Mitch" anyway.) He met alot of our extended family on Thanksgiving and he loved everyone - especially the other dogs.

We went to the Bully Buddy Training on Saturday and it was very helpful. We'll be there again this Saturday.

Update- July 28th
Mitchell went to his very first 'Behavior for Bullies' training session today and did a fantastic job! His handler said that he was very interested in what was going on around him but also tried really hard to stay focused and work with her.
Mitchell is just stellar. He is a great first-timers Pit mix. He is a sweet young man with a heart of gold. Dog-friendly and easy-going, he is also house-trained and a top-notch cuddler. He thrives on attention, knows basic commands, and is just an all-around love. He has the laidback demeanour of a rottie, with the I love everyone personality of the Pit Bull- basically Mitch got the best traits of both breeds! He is a stocky boy that likely weighs around 60 lbs. He would be a fine addition to a moderately active, loving family. He can be a bit of a rowdy teenager at times so he would be perfect for an adult only home, or one with teenagers. Currently fostered in a busy household with 3 other dogs, and fitting in spendidly.

Mitchell's adoption fee is $200. He is neutered, tattooed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and deflead. If you think that Mitch may be the one please fill out an application at:
