MISSOURI IS BEING FOSTERED IN KENTUCKY. APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED NATIONWIDE. Missouri is a survivor! She is named for the state in which she was rescued, part of a large group of dogs living in the woods. Missouri is learning new things every day. She now knows her name and is working on being housebroken. She knows to ring the bell on the doorknob when she wants to go out. She knows stop, no and down. She is 4 months old. After a rough start to her life, Missouri has now become a happy & playful puppy. She does lots of things that puppies do, some good, some not so good. So she will need continued guidance as she grows in order to understand appropriate behavior. She is still shy and unsure about all the new things and people in the world. Someone who understands a pup like this, that can help her confidence grow, will be the best person for Missouri. She loves other dogs. She follows the adult male dog in the household around and entices him to play. Missouri is very lovable & cuddly. Sitting with her foster and cuddling is a favorite activity. Her health has improved since she has been in foster care. Now she’s a ball of energy! She has had all the veterinary care appropriate for her age. Missouri was so very brave at the vet office, very cooperative and easy to handle. She is intact and her adopter will need to have her spayed when she is physically mature enough. Her foster has been taking her out into the community so that she can get more socialization with people. A home without children might be best because Missouri has no experience with children and she is fearful of them.
