My Story

ADOPTED - Don't you think two months is long enough to patiently wait for the perfect home? OK, I admit.....I'm not a cute fuzzy little "designer" puppy, but......there are plenty of advantages to adopting a grown-up dog like me. I'm a lot less work and--unlike adopting a puppy--what you see is what you get. I'm already housebroken, I don't shed a lot, I don't chew up everything in the house like a silly puppy would.....I'm three years old--and I only weigh about 15 pounds, so I make a great lap warmer! I'm a healthy, happy dog who is very polite and laid-back, so I don't require lots of entertaining. (In fact, I can entertain YOU by standing up on my back legs when I beg for a treat!) I really enjoy going for leash walks, and I'm the perfect dog for someone who is looking for a "finished" polite little companion. I do well with other dogs and I'm also fine with cats, although I wouldn't mind being an "only" dog so that I could get all the attention! I would really enjoy a fenced-in yard (please, no invisible fencing). and a living situation in which I wouldn't have to be a latchkey dog. (An adopter who works part time, is retired, or works out of his/her home would be perfect for me.) I'd enjoy a fairly quiet home, so my foster mom is looking for an adopter who doesn't have any young children who could inadvertently injure me due to my small size. I'm well behaved, I rarely bark, and I'm happy to spend quiet evenings at home with someone who would love me. My adoption fee is $250, and I'm neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on immunizations, wormed, and microchipped. If you would like more information about me, please e-mail Marti at: [email protected] with a short letter describing your lifestyle and family situation. In this way she can determine whether or not I would be a good fit for you--and vice versa--prior to her e-mailing an adoption application to you.
Please click on "One Starfish Rehoming Connections" under the photo to read more about our rescue's adoption policies and fees. We do not operate a humane society or shelter, so we do not have a facility that is open to the public. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, and are not available for viewing until an adoption application is filled out and references are checked. Please read the information on our home page (by clicking on our rescue name below this dog's photo) before contacting us.
