Midori

Midori is a beautiful Portugese Water Dog CROSSED with Standard Poodle. 22 months old, large like a standard poodle. Highly intelligent. An inside home with a large acreage/area with a secure fence. (no apartments, townhomes please.) She is an escape artist extraordinaire and can jump wooden fences 6' high without blinking. Wire fencing is a deterrent if at least 5' high. Fully command trained (but will not come back if she does not know you well, or does not take you seriously as a leader). She is smitten with sheep, goats, cows and horses, (livestock) and will take off to go investigate. She does not harm them, but likes to chase and bark. A home without small dogs, but a large dog companion she would love. She needs to have plenty of run time/exercise, and stimulation to remain a happy, healthy, well behaved dog. She loves to swim and run. She is protective of her owners and her turf, she is very affectionate with "her people". She does not trust right away and takes some time to get to know you. Midori is an awesome companion. We are seeking a very particular, perfect home for her as she is very special. An adoption application and home visit required. Adoption fee $495.00 Midori is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and flea treated. We have not tested Midori with children, but we are sure she would be fine with older children that respect her.
