Midge is an 18-month-old cockapoo, weighing 16 pounds. She was surrendered to us with glaucoma in one eye. Her owner could not financially take care of her medical needs. Midge has primary hereditary glaucoma but is now pain-free after having her right eye removed. Her left eye has not shown signs of glaucoma, but she is on daily drops as a preventative measure. She may never have any issues with her remaining eye, but glaucoma in dogs is treatable and blindness can often be prevented. She is a happy girl now that she is pain-free.
