************************************************************* “Exceptional disposition for husky!” “His eyes get extra buggy when he’s excited!” ************************************************************* Michael may have been sent from Heaven! He is friendly to everyone and everything. His foster home is filled with 7 other dogs of different sizes, and he loves all people. We are not sure how he is with cats, but he briefly sniffed a kitten and then went on his merry way. Michael is a social boy. He really isn’t the protective type. In fact, with his friendly nature and bugged eyes, you can’t help but smile both on the inside and out (meaning he just isn’t very intimidating). We would say his love language is affection. He is extremely affectionate and loves to kiss the ones he cares about. Michael is about 2 – 3 years old, and weighs 55 pounds. This smart boy is house-trained, and does great with a doggy door (so yes, he is trusted home alone and in the yard). He does not have any anxieties, and has not escaped the yard (like huskies are so known to do). Michael also loves his crate. He was initially placed in the crate as part of the decompression in his foster home, but has since been free-range, and he still chooses his crate as one of his favorite spots. The foster just leaves the door open, and it works well! Michael is decent on a leash (doesn’t pull), and rides well in the car (nice & calm). We have not seen any kind of anxiety or health concern. This lucky boy gets an array of food and treats, and his stomach seems to handle it all well. Speaking of which, he loves chicken jerky and almost any kind of treat! He typically accepts all food without the need to sniff first (he just takes whatever you are offering). He also finds plastic bags and socks to be appealing, so best to remove those items from sight. In general, Michael is a loyal boy who wishes to please. He is gentle, and there isn’t any roughing around with his mouth or jumping. He has such a sweet nature, and is fairly quiet (unless he wants to play)! He has recently discovered squeekies, and is becoming more playful learning what toys are. He also loves romping around with the other dogs. As social as he is though with both people and pets, he also embraces his independence. When it comes to sleeptime, he just chooses where he’d like to be throughout the night… he might start out with his crate, and then maybe move onto the bedroom or somewhere else. All pups in his foster home are welcome on the couch, however he seems to prefer the floor or crate at this time. A few items that haven’t been mentioned… Michael is a very smart boy. He seems to be deliberate in his thinking. He is kid-friendly, and spent his first day in his foster home with a 9-year old visitor. Additionally, the fairly quiet boy isn’t quite so quiet when the lawnmower makes its appearance. He barks non-stop if he’s outside with you (so best to just bring him back inside). Our ideal home for Michael includes a home with a high level of affection and engagement. He is a special boy, and you can count on him to be a loyal companion and family member forever.
