Mia is an adorable little 12 lb. cream colored Shih Tzu from Arkansas. She entered a Southern rescue malnourished with 5 babies. Four of the babies died. Mia was also thought to be heartworm positive at the time. Little Souls Foundation agreed to bring this Momma to CT after she had weaned her puppy to have her treated for heartworm and to find her a wonderful home. Subsequent to our decision she was tested twice and was actually found to be heartworm negative. Most of Mia's coat was clipped while she was nursing her baby but it will slowly get full again and will need professional grooming about every 8 weeks to keep it in good shape. Mia has a wonderful outgoing personality and is good around other friendly dogs. She's a little clown and will keep you laughing. Mia is already spayed, her shots are up to date, she has been microchipped and wormed. Her adoption fee is $450 which helps to cover her $135 transport fee which we had to pay to bring her to CT and some of her vet expenses. Please request a pre-adoption questionnaire if you think this little girl would make a wonderful addition to your family. We always reserve the right to place each of our dogs in the home we feel will be best for that particular dog. Connecticut adoption only.
