Merle is a member of the Shy Dog program, but he is coming out of his shell! So far, he appears to be a mature, companionable, all around nice fellow. He is somewhat independent, yet he enjoys back scratches and walking around the hallways meeting people. He has not shown any reactivity to other dogs, and he might be a good candidate to meet your friendly dog. He quickly began to show attachment to the first volunteer who took him out, and, like all Australian Cattle Dogs, he is likely to become a most loyal and loving family member. Merle came in as an underweight stray, and he is ready for your TLC!
