Merle

Merle is a neutered Pitbull and is a very adaptable and loving boy. He is 5-6 years old and weighs 58 lbs., and is brown with white markings. He likes to be close to his human and dog friends, and he loves to lay his big head in your lap any chance he gets. Merle adapts to the energy around him. He can relax by your side all day but also loves to walk and play with other dogs. Merle is housetrained, microchipped, and vaccinated. He is both kid and dog-friendly and would make a great addition to a furry pack. He does get very excited when meeting new dogs, but training will help him learn to approach and greet a new dog. Because of his size and excitement when meeting new dogs, small ones should be introduced with more caution. He is very well-behaved in his foster home, rarely barks, and is very good about sharing food and toys. Merle was picked up as a stray in November and found himself on the euthanasia list due to over-capacity at the shelter. We are so grateful we could rescue him and now would love to see him thriving in his forever home. He is being fostered in the Encinitas area of San Diego County.
