Meet Merida, a brave and resilient 3.5-month-old puppy who was surrendered to a local shelter back in early June. She came in with a rare skin disorder known as "puppy strangles," but thanks to The Rescue Crew, she's been receiving the medical care she needs and is recovering beautifully.
Merida is a lively and energetic pup, weighing in at around 20 pounds. She loves doing zoomies around the yard and enjoys chewing on her toys. She's pretty good about not chewing on things she shouldn't, though a gentle reminder now and then helps.
This smart girl is excellent at letting you know when she needs to go outside, and she goes into her kennel without hesitation. Merida enjoys going on walks and meeting new people. She's good with other dogs, but we haven't had the chance to see how she is with cats yet.
