Melia

Melia was rescued from an abusive and neglectful caretaker. Luckily for Melia, she has a chance to find a loving forever home where she will be cared for and loved all of her days. Melia has a loving personality and is frolicky like a puppy. She loves to have her backside rubbed and enjoys receiving affection. She does mouth a bit when she gets excited but responds immediately to correction. She has had no obedience training but should do well in classes as she does look for approval and is a good listener. Melia has a gentle and sweet nature and is sometimes unsure of herself. She will undoubtedly blossom with someone who is nurturing and encouraging. She is not yet used to walking with a leash but is learning. She loves the outdoors and is very inquisitive about her surroundings. She likes to stop and sniff everything! She is anxious but very friendly when meeting other dogs on the street. She is not at all aggressive and loves to say hello to people. Despite her rough start in life, Melia exudes the playfulness and happiness of a normal young dog and will bring her own special energy and warmth to any home.
