My Story

UPDATE #2: 1/3/08
Here are new pictures of Meg...She was watching a German Shepherd Dog with an E-Collar on so intently that she forgot to smile.
Meg has gained needed weight and had plenty of exercise. Meg is fit and has built up a good muscle mass. She now has a beautiful short coat and her "personality freckles" may still be seen.
Meg will make a sweet, loving, funny companion who loves to snuggle up close, especially on the couch. Meg has become a very comfortable house dog.
She has been spayed and heartworm treated. Meg is also crate trained. She is gentle on lead and enjoys going for walks. Meg is a good traveler who enjoys both looking out the car window and taking naps on her blanket as she rides.
Meg is now ready for adoption.

UPDATE #1: 12/10/07
A vet who saw pictures of Meg said she believes Meg to be an "Old Gene Pool" American Bull Dog....In fact she called Meg "An Antique American Bull Dog" and if you look at pictures of American Bull Dogs will see a gallery of dogs that look like Meg.

Megs Story:
Meg is a sweet girl who is White with a Brown and Black patch on the Left side of her face and black freckles on the pink skin of her body. Meg has lost most of her hair due to stress and poor nutrition.

Meg was turned in by her former owner, "Because she is stubborn and she keeps getting in the trash."
When you look at Meg, it is easy to see that she was hunting for extra food in the trash to help make milk for her puppies.
Meg was also taken away from puppies when she was turned in. Her "bobbles" were still full of milk.
We know nothing of what happened to Meg's puppies.

It was a blessing for Meg that she was turned into the shelter. With the lack of food and care Meg had been given, she needed to be turned in so she could be rescued!

Meg is as sweet and loving as any dog I have met. She gave her foster parents wonderful kisses. Even in her starving state, Meg is happy and shows her appreciation with not only kisses but also with a delightful wiggle .

Meg is now free to begin to recover her health. She will be able to thrive with lots of good food, fresh air, exercise, lack of stress and any medical attention she needs.
Meg's white hair should begin to grow again as her general health improves with a high quality diet.

Please check back for updates and new pictures as Meg regains her health.

Meg will only be adopted into a family where she will be loved and appreciated. Meg must be an inside family member.

ADOPTION FEE: $150
