Maya is a beautiful young girl with a bubbly personality. She’s always so delighted to see you that, not only her tail, but her whole rear end wags happily. One-and-half-year old, seventy-five pound Maya is housetrained and crate trained. This smart cookie would appreciate a refresher course on her basic obedience.
Very social, loving, affectionate and loaded with playfulness Maya is a friend to everyone. She loves playing with other dogs, swimming going on walks and having her tummy rubbed. Being “all girl” she enjoys the full spa treatment that includes a bath and brushing.
When Maya arrived at Safe Harbor she was in considerable pain with two torn ACL’s. Through the generosity of a Lab loving donor and partnership with Alameda East Veterinary Hospital, we have been able to have both Maya’s knees repaired as well as her elbows that were bothering her. Her exercise is curtailed while she’s completing her recovery, but she should be released by the vet in time for a summer of active fun with you!
Ever optimistic, lovable and adaptable Maya is hoping to complete her recovery in her forever home with you just as soon as you get her bed fluffed up. Safe Harbor will continue to cover the costs related to her surgery – all you need to supply is the love and remind this girl to be patient and take it easy for a bit. If you are interested in adopting Maya, we’ll happily answer any questions you might have.
A lovely classic and feminine looking Lab, Maya has all the traits Lab lovers love: playfulness, intelligence, affection and a love of outdoor activities. She’s been blessed with a wonderful network of support so she can look forward to comfortably enjoying life to the fullest with you!
