Maxwell

"Maxwell" is ~1-2 yr old male Bernese Mountain Dog/Gordon Setter mix. He was brought in to a local vet clinic by a dog control officer to be euthanized. Once the staff saw how loving this big guy was, they called our rescue for help. In the weeks that we have known him, he has made himself comfortable in his foster moms home. She vouches for his gentle character. He gets along well with the other dogs/cat of the house and is always on his best behavior. We can't figure out why his owner ever let such a wonderful boy go! If you're looking for a big lush to cuddle up with at night, keep you company during the day and take part in your everyday activities, our Maxwell may be just the boy for you! He is a very large boy but is so gentle and very good with children. A fenced yard and lots of room to run are definitely a plus. He enjoys being a housedog and is acclimating well to being spoiled rotten, but we know he could do better by having a family to call all his own with maybe a few furry siblings rather than a houseful. Max knows how to sit, shake and lay down already, he is also housebroken...we think he could be the perfect "son" if only given a chance. He has been examined, heartworm tested negative, vaccinated, dewormed, deflead and neutered.
