My name is Max and I am approximately a 1 year old Poodle Mix. I come with a very sad story, but don't let that get you down because I sure haven't! Someone took me as a puppy up to Wollaston Lake, where I was sold to a family who let me wander around. And, the inevitable happened; about 6 weeks ago, I was attacked by some big, mean dogs, leaving me in very bad shape. A nice lady took me in, and looked after me, until she could fly me to Saskatoon where I now am. So, because of my really rough start to life, I am now learning things dogs should know; I am working hard on housetraining and learning to play with other dogs. I am staying with 3 dogs; 2 big and one a puppy and I have discovered how much fun they are to play with! I love to run and spin and play with a ball. I tug and chew bones. I love my crate, and I sleep quietly in it, when my fostermama is out and at night. Yup, being a dog is great! I am still a little rough around the edges, but I learn fast and I LOVE people! And, you'll have to excuse my "grubbiness" in my photo; I was full of mats when that nice lady saved me and she had to cut them out. And, since I had to have some surgery due to the attack, I couldn't be groomed or have a bath until now. My fostermama really wants to get me all cleaned up at the groomers and I am sure I'll start to look as sweet as I really am! I live to cuddle and please my people so no worries; training me won't take long! If you are looking for a spirited little dog to hang out with, I'm your guy! I should really go to an obedience class which will help us bond, and help teach me all those great things I should know. Also, I may well make a stellar flyball or agility dog!! Please, contact us soon because I really deserve a loving home of my own!
Adoption Application

NEW HOPE DOG RESCUE is not a shelter. Our dogs are placed in loving foster homes. WE NEED FOSTER HOMES TO HELP MORE DOGS - CONTACT US TODAY!!!
Definitions:
Pending - means that we are working through the adoption process with the 1st applicant. We usually don't add the pending until we are pretty sure the adoption will go through (like at the home visit stage)
On Trial or Trial Visit - means that the dog is in their new home for up to 2 weeks before the adopters need to commit to keeping the dog. We want to make sure that everyone is happy with the new living arrangements! We allow this option for everyone except very long distance adoptions (too far to drive).
Adopted - you know!! A happy ending for a homeless dog. We try to let everyone know when we have the final word. Within about 24 hours, the dog's bio will be moved to our happy tails section!
