Meet Max! 5 year old Max has had a tough start living his entire life on a chain. He is now safe and adjusting extremely well in his foster home. Max is sweet, loving, gentle, and playful. All around, he is an absolutely wonderful dog. He would make a great companion for any person or family looking for a dog who will be by your side from the moment you wake up until you go to sleep at night. Max is excellent on a leash and loves his walks and the beach. He is a slow and curious walker and listens to whoever is holding the leash. He has very good manners in the house and out, absolutely loves cuddles, blankets, and belly rubs. He is great with children and has done well with other dogs. He is fully housebroken, doesn’t chew or really care much for toys. Occasionally he will carry around a stuffed animal or chew on a hoof or antler, but for the most part just enjoys sitting with his people, window watching, or laying in the sun outside. Max has done fine when left alone, both in his crate and when left out. When he’s left out and alone, he enjoys having a bed all to himself, and will make himself cozy under the blankets.
