Max is a 4 year old retriever mix of sorts. He is gorgeous! He acts like he has been abused, to the point of losing his spirit. He is timid, and submissive…but still will come over to you for attention. He is not the fearful type that worries us… He is the opposite. He craves attention, but is worried that he might be hurt again. He really needs to be in a nurturing home. He gets along great with other dogs. He ignores the cats. Please consider him!
UPDATE 10-1: Max is now in a foster home with three other dogs and is loving life! He is still very weary, but is learning every day that humans are ok to trust. He now enjoys snuggling on the couch for tv time. He is making great progress. What a sweet and loving dog.
