Max is an owner surrender - when surrendered we were told Max was 11 years old, up to date on shots and healthy and the reason for surrendering him was because the new baby was allergic. WELL - The vet records show Max will be 13 years old in December, that he was upt to date on Rabies only and in Oct 2004 tested positive for heartworm and had not been treated. Max was treated for the heartworm and came thru the treatment with flying colors. Max is really sweet, likes going for walks or just sitting and hanging out with his good buddy Roland or going for rides in the car. He acts way younger than what his age is said to be and seems healthy other than the HW. He may be a little deaf, or he may have selective hearing......He has been given his other shots and now is looking for a family who will take him in and let him spend the rest of hs life in love and comfort! Max is nt the cuddly tyoe of dog, he can be very aloof and I an told that is a typical SharPei. He is not bothered by orher dogs and he has no interest in the cats.
