When you first meet Max he will take you away with his good looks but once you spend even a short amount of time with him it is apparent that this well mannered and unassuming sheltie/eskimo mix is a perfect gentleman.

We are still learning about him but have so far been impressed with his calmness under pressure, his trust in those that are nice to him and the kindness that you can see in his face.
Max was taken to the shelter when his owner could no longer care for him due to a move. He is about 7-8 yrs old and is now having to start his life over. He is handling this change with grace and dignity that few of us would have. Please give this gentleman a second chance.

He is reported to be good with children, even as young as 2, good with other dogs but unsure about small dogs and cats.

We also supply dogs with appropriate shots and deworming, flea/tick preventative, and other medical treatments as they require. Dogs over the age of eight months are tested for heartworm and if negative, placed on preventative; dogs testing positive for heartworm are medically treated by us prior to adoption.
