Mavis was born around 3/06 and has been with our rescue since 3/2010. This 80# cuddler was transferred from a different humane society therefore nothing is known about her past, or how she ended up there.
Mavis is a very sweet pooch that would do well with any family. She's a gentle giant and seems to know to snuggle with children without knocking them over. She has a lower exercise requirement and while she'd enjoy a walk or trip to the dog park, she'd also be just as content without.
Mavis is currently in a dog group at the shelter and loving it. She does well with any size dog of every disposition. She seems well adjusted to cats and ignores the felines at the shelter. However, she does try to ingest cat toys therefore her new home will have to watch her with toys that don't belong to her. Mavis is crate trained but we do not know if she is housebroken.
Mavis's adoption fee is $350 (plus tax). Owning an extra large breed dog comes with additional responsibilies and expenses. We want to ensure that her new owner is ready for her lifelong care.
Important InformationMost of our dogs & puppies will be available to meet each Saturday from 10-2 at Madison's eastside PETsMART. If you are interested in a specific dog or puppy you will be able to meet the dogs by appointment as well if you have an approved application.
We offer a $50 rebate to our adopters who complete a training class and send in proof of completion within 4 months of adoption.
Our dogs have all been spay/neuter, vaccinated to date, microchipped, heartworm tested, current on flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention. We take care of any Vet care that the animal needs to be ready for adoption.
