What a handsome boy! Maverick was born on 4/1/05. His picture doesn’t do him justice, he’s not one to sit still for such trivial matters! He is a purebred Chocolate Labrador Retriever and he weighs about 65#. He was an owner surrender because one of the children was very allergic to him.

He is great with other dogs, cats, and children. He has a ton of energy and would enjoy a family that he would be able to spend lots of quality time with, to tire him out. He is a puppy with lots of puppy energy. Rather clumsy, at times. Everything is new and exciting and he doesn’t want to miss a thing!He likes to play fetch 24/7 with anything, a tennis ball, a rope tug, a stuffed toy--anything!

He is housetrained and crate trained.

Maverick likes to go for walks. Walking doesn't really seem to tire him out--he would really like a jogging partner! He has been through a Basic Obedience class and is continuing his training while in our care. He enjoys learning and is extremely smart and eager to please.

This dog's adoption fee is $350 (plus tax). This includes being spayed/neutered, current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations, wormed, microchipped with the HomeAgain microchip, heartworm tested (negative) and medicated during the heartworm season (May-Dec) while in our care, comes with a Gentle Leader headcollar (if we feel it is needed), and is currently learning Basic Obedience commands and good doggie manners.
