Mason

Meet Mason! He’s a great family dog that was surrendered to a rural SW VA shelter because his owners were moving and couldn’t take him . This boy is beautiful, very affectionate, and so smart! He often forgets his size and thinks he’s a lap dog. He has been known to gently climb into laps that were available. Mason is approximately 3-4 yrs old, and 50 lbs. he is tall and has a boxy face like a Bernese mountain dog. He also has their gentle quiet demeanor. He knows “sit”and is learning “wait”. He will be easy to train and will be able to learn many commands. He’s a very friendly boy who is not reactive to strangers or other dogs. In fact, he plays very gently with the JRT puppy next door to his foster home. Mason is housebroken & crate trained, and he’s good in the car. He is not jumpy. He did great when he met his fosters elderly parents and small grandkids. He is fairly easy to walk on leash, too! Mason is neutered, up to date on vaccines and preventives, has been heart worm tested (negative) and microchipped.
