Their Story:
Mason originally came to the shelter as a stray in November of 07 with his buddy Dixon. They were adopted out, but returned early September because there were unspecified potty training issues and they would dig holes in the backyard when left alone. Mason is a much more people oriented dog, constantly looking for attention. He is a little better behaved because he's much more eager to please. Mason is very very sweet and is just a doll. He is amazing around kids, very gentle and behaves well. Kennel training and daily exercise would help with both the potty training and the destructive behaviors. Mason is housed with Dixon, but they do not need to be adopted together.

Our adoption policys include: No same day adoption. This is to ensure that there are no impulse buys. If you currently have animals or had animals in the past, we need to check with the vet clinic to make sure they are up-to-date on vaccinations. We now require proof of home-ownership due to some landlords not allowing pets. There are also some animals that need to be spayed or neutered before leaving the shelter at the new owners expense. These are known as the prespay or preneuters. These animals include purebreds and bully breeds (the pitbull type breeds) for the dogs, purebreds for the cats, and all rabbits must be spayed or neutered before leaving the building. You can call the shelter at 382-4832 if you have any questions.
