MarmaDuke

MarmaDuke is an absolutely FANTASTIC dog with a temperment so sweet it is hard to imagine he was a stray. His time was up and he was scheduled for euthanasia this next week after labor day. He had been there for over 3 weeks. I pulled him for a Great Dane rescue and then they were not pleased that he was a mix. I would like to jump him up on the adoptable list here while he waits for their 2 week period after vaccinations before they will take him list. He would die waiting for that list and time frame at the shelter. So call me and lets talk about Marmaduke!!! I will have him neutered 9-20 and he is safe at a private kennel now!!! 8/29/08. He weighs about 90-100lbs. He needs to gain weight and is skinny with ribs showing. He is vaccinated and wormed today. 8/30- went to see Marmadude today and he was in good spirits. I let him out for an hour to run around. He is so docile it is almost sad. When I put a lead on him he went all the way to the ground. He really is a lovely and handsome guy.!!! He has no aggression towards other dogs and is friendly to everyone. He comes up to you and leans on your leg for a pet. No cough. 9/3- everyday he is getting happier and acting like he would normally away from the pound and depression. I let 2 young ACD's out to play with him and he was a bit overwelmed as they jumped all over him and were in his face. No aggression, no hair up, very tolerant. I believe he was potty trained at one time as he tries to hold his pee and goes alot when released from the kennel. So far just one big poop a day and it looks normal. No cough. 9/10- Marma is gaining weight and is a happy boy still. I took my Bouvier and Red Heeler there today to meet him hoping that they can get along so I can bring him home. They just mostly had a pissing contest and my little Heeler was a bit afraid of him due to his size. He was interested but non aggressive on his ground. My Bouv did okay but he is a jerk anyway with male dogs. I go there daily to let Marma run around and love on him. 9.12.08- MarmaDuke is spending the night and so far so good. He has a scar on his throat. I thought it might be an embedded collar scar, but now I think he might have been debarked. One or the other. I have never heard him bark but he does whine a bit or cry whenever I left him at the kennel. 9/13- Marma weighs 101.3 at the vet today!
