My Story

Hey everyone!

I'm Marina (previously Bunny), which means navy in Spanish or ocean-related. I'd just like to take this opportunity to tell the world how happy I am! I was just taken home by a loving family, and not only do I get to stay with Abby, I get to be spoiled rotten! My future is full of running on the beach, cuddles as I drift off to sleep in my new human bed with my head on the arm of my new human pal, Erik, and lots of swimming and hiking! Everything a gal like me could ever imagine!

Thanks to my forever family for the lifetime of love I have ahead of me!

Having recently turned 20 and graduating with a diploma in Adventure Tourism I was looking for a canine companion since the death of my beloved Freda (another rescue dog) when I was 14. Although my parents offered me the opportunity to get another dog, it took 6 years for me to feel ready to move on from Freda. I flew out with my mother in 2007 to look for my future hiking, diving, climbing, kayaking, and river rafting companion. I had a type of dog in mind, but Marina picked me right away. I have not looked back. Marina was named for my love of the ocean, and she shares the enthusiasm and energy I have for all of my outdoor activities. She is an athlete, a calming reassuring spirit, my protector, and my best friend. There is not an activity she hesitates to participate in, she plays hard and sleeps hard! In fact, there have been times I have slept on the floor because once she gets into position in bed, often stretched out as far as possible, you cannot move her! She needs her sleep! I am sending a lot of photos of our adventures. I am very happy she has been able to enjoy them with me. I might have rescued her with the help of all the caring and heroic people of pawsitive match, but she rescued me too! I cannot imagine my life without her. She is the world's best dog!
