Mantis

The heart on Mantis' forehead matches the heart she has for just about everything and everyone. This sweet girl is adoring and affectionate to her humans, and she's never met a dog she didn't like. This friendly pup wants to say hi to every dog on the block, making her an excellent companion for an existing family dog. The love she will have for her family is strong-she just wants to be near her person, whether for playtime, or a cuddle and nap. Mantis has made great progress on her potty training and will do well with a family who continues to encourage her. Her crate training is coming along nicely, too - just throw in a frozen peanut butter Kong or a squeaky toy and this girl is set! Her fosters have reported her as one of the easiest dogs they've ever had, with no separation anxiety. Mantis has medium-to-high energy and will enjoy an active home with a yard, or a buddy who likes to go on long walks. She would also thrive in an environment with other dogs who she can run around and play with. She has done well around children, but given her high energy, older children are recommended as she continues to learn to contain some of that loving energy.
