Walking partner needed. Mamie and her sister, Effie, would be a great companion for someone who loves to go on walks. They are both a bit overweight and need to drop a few pounds.
Mamie is approx. 5 - 6 years old in these pictures taken April 21, 2007. She and her sister, Effie, were saved from a kill shelter by a good Samaritan who paid their adoption fee. Mamie is a little shy and scared at first when first approached but once she knows you are not going to hurt her, she is very sweet, loving, happy, and cuddly. She is not as outgoing as her sister. Mamie does well on a leash and enjoys going for walks. She enjoys playing with toys we found out while we were taking her picture. She weighed 19.3 pounds when we took her in to be spayed. Effie would benefit from someone who likes to on walks as she needs to drop a few pounds.
Both Mamie and Effie get along well with all of the dogs we have put them with. We do not know if they are housebroken, or if they would get along with children or cats.
Mamie was heartworm tested on 9/17/07 and was negative. She received her HW preventative and Frontline the same day. Mamie weighed 22 pounds at the vet.
We would prefer to adopt Effie and Mamie together as they are very close and Mamie relies on her sister for comfort. We would be happy to send you pictures of both of them together. Just e-mail us.
