My Story

Bella has been adopted by Don and Paula of Bend, OR where she is now living and keeping her two "human kids' company.

Bella originally came to us with a wistful look in her eye and nine gorgeous puppies. . Good food and loving care have built up Bella's health and won her trust.

Now that her puppies have moved on to new lives in their own forever homes, she's proving to be a relaxed, affectionate dog. She is exceptionally gentle with small children. She would make a great addition to a young family.

She looks like a hound/boxer cross, but her temperament is more hound than boxer. She weighs around 55-lb, and we estimate that she was born around January 2008.

Bella loves to play with toys, and if you aren't available to play with her she'll entertain herself for hours. She's a great watch dog who will bark ferociously at strangers, but has never shown any desire to bite. Initially timid with people she doesn't know, she warms up quickly and wants to be friends.

She is playful and friendly with other dogs, ignores horses, and will chase cats - we don't know what she would do if she caught one. Bella is smart and quick to learn; her foster family has taught her most of the basic commands, and she walks well on a leash.

Her adoption fee of $225 covers all the costs of her care. She is being fostered in Benton City, but we will work with an approved adopter to arrange transport anywhere in the Pacific Northwest.
