My Story

Please Welcome Malone to PugHearts! Malone is a 4 year old owner surrender from The Valley. His family surrendered him out of love when they didn’t think they could care for him adequately, and PugHearts gladly picked him up. Malone is epileptic and the doctors had the family so worried and scared, which is sad, because caring for an epileptic dog is not scary. He is on phenobarbital twice daily and has never had a seizure in his foster home, so we think it’s very controlled on meds. He doesn’t take flea meds due to their ability to cause seizures but he is on monthly heartworm prevention. He has a luxating patella causing a wonky gait but it doesn’t slow Malone down at all. He don’t jump on or off the furniture but will use the stairs to get into bed if he has to. Besides phenobarbital fir seizures, Malone is on a daily joint supplement. This boy has so much personality stuffed into a 14 pound squishy body. He talks. He sometimes talks back too! He plays dead when picked up…there’s a video of him on Facebook! He only sleeps flat on his back too. Malone loves playing with his foster siblings and is doing great at house training. He is waiting on his neuter, which will help the marking. Malone loves kids too. Really, if you have a hand to pet and a lap to lay in, then you’re his favorite. This boy may have special needs but he is going to make a lucky family the happiest ever!
