My Story

Our beautiful, brindle girl Makani just joined a crossfit gym and, you guessed it, she won't stop talking about flipping tires and drinking egg yolks for breakfast. We even caught her posing in the mirror, flexing her thighs and calves (wait, do dogs even have calves?). She's one svelte and strong lady who will quietly bench-press your uncle at the next family gathering. Though she's great on leash and will walk as far as you want to, she really seems to prefer destroying "indestructible" toys in the yard for funsies and to intimidate the boys. She's got a quiet, cool confidence about her and loves a routine with predictable situations. She will take awhile to warm up and trust her people, but boy when she gives you that first tail wag, we know you'll be done for! If you're looking for a steady, reliable best friend who can open jars and pick up heavy things and move them, Makani isn't your girl. She doesn't have thumbs. But she could be your ride-or-die fur friend who's loyal and grateful for you every single day... and we think there's really not more you could ask for! Makani is about 6 years old, but would still love to have an active home as she loves to play. She may do ok with older children and another adult dog who respects her space. She will need a home with a 6 foot fence or to be leashed at all times when outdoors, as she can - and will - parkour her way out.
