My Story

See Magic's website at http://www.mabbr.org/dogpages/magic.html

Nicknames: Madge, Baby Boy

Pet Peeves: animal abusers, sleeping alone, cold weather, rain

Interests: snuggling with my forever family one day, but for now I'll settle for snuggling with my foster sisters.

My ideal day: Waking up around noon, or early afternoon (I'm not much of a morning dog), moving in to the living room to curl up on the couch with my forever family and watch some t.v. Later in the day I'd be up for some frisbee, I'm really good at it and hope I can compete one day...or just playing tug is fine too. I'm not too "high maintenance" as my foster mom says.

My story: One cold day I was picked up by animal control and was able to finally be indoors. I've been through a lot in my short life and have some scars (my foster mom calls them my "war wounds") from it. She also says things like "bait dog", I don't know what that means, but I sure do love other dogs and people too. Right now I live in a foster home with a lot of dogs (all female because I just get jealous of other boys). I get along with all of them, but I'm pretty laid back.

When the weather is nice (because I refuse to go out when it's cold) I love to run out in the back yard and do what my foster mom calls "360's". I spin around like a top and then catch my breath and play tug with my foster sisters. I love playing frisbee and I'm super athletic so I probably have some hidden talents saved up for my forever family.

Like I said, I get along great with all my foster sisters. I don't really play much with the biggest one because she paws at me on top of my head just to show me how big she is, it's really annoying so I just snuggle with her. My other foster sister is about my size and we run together, play tug together, and best of all we cuddle on the couch all the time together. Right now, she's my bestest friend. My littlest foster sister is still a puppy, so I put up with her biting my ears and tugging at my whiskers. Sometimes to make her feel big-and-bad I roll over on my back and let her tackle me.

All the dogs are great, but probably my favorite, most special time, is when I get to curl up on the couch or in bed with my foster family. My foster mom says there is just "something" about me that is magical. Most of the people that come by the house would really like to adopt me, but they all live in cities that don't allow my breed. My mom calls it "BSL" and says it stands for many things, but it mainly means that people judge me by the way I look. I don't think that's fair, but I'm a dog so I can't do much about it. I hope to find one special family that will be up to challenge the stereotypes and take in all the love I have to give.
