This charming pooch is always up for a good time, especially when it involves her beloved toys – whether it's chasing balls, squeaking away at her favorite toys, or engaging in a spirited game of tug of war with her rope toys. Maggy takes her treats gently, showcasing her gentle nature. With her stout body and uniquely beautiful big ears, she's truly one of a kind. But what truly sets Maggy apart is her knack for communication – she's not afraid to make funny noises or adorable grunts to let you know exactly what's on her mind. Maggy should do well in households with kids of all ages. We are unsure how she would do in a home with cats as we don't know if she has lived with any in the past. Maggy seems to be quite picky about her canine companions. So she requires a dog-to-dog meet before going into a home with another dog Maggy is a 6 year old pitbull terrier who is up to date on her vaccinations, microchipped, spayed and currently weighing 64lbs. *** "Cute" "Playful" "Energetic" "Lovable" "Sweet" Maggy was initially shy, but she has had a great time with with volunteers on multiple Doggy Day Outs. She does well in the car, has gone hiking, plays with toys and loves to snuggle. She also loves pup-cups and rope toys! Here is what our volunteers have to say about her: "Yesterday was a beautiful day for Doggy day out and Maggy was such a sweetheart. We started our journey getting her a pup cup and then for a nice long walk on the bluffs. Maggy was able to meet a few new people and she was very well behaved for them. We quickly learned that she prefers walking on the concrete rather than any trails they have there. After that we took Maggy back to our apartment for a little rest and some water, because she started slowing down on our walk near the end. Once we got there, she was initially very curious she then opened her shell completely with us. All she wanted to do was play and then cuddle with someone and then go look out the window at people passing. It was awesome to see that side of her because it was a very happy side rather then the initial shy dog." "Maggy is good on walks- kept by us and only pulled at the start. She's hesitant around dogs. Very friendly around all people and loves the car. Total lap dog at heart!" "The rain kind of put a damper on what we could do outside. We took a long car ride instead the stopped at Veterans Memorial Park in West Salem because the rain let up. Then we went to Starbucks and got a pup cup. We had a very fun day. She loves to explore and she loved the car ride." "Maggy got to enjoy walks at a park, the great river landing and at Stry Preserve. She enjoyed exploring and the new smells. We took a few breaks so that I could rest. Maggy enjoyed a pup-cup and some snuggles. She enjoys car rides and giving lots of puppy kisses. She takes a little bit to warm up but then she enjoys kisses and starts playing more. She is still working on commands but is an absolute sweetheart." "Maggy had a good day. We walked a lot and spent all of our time outdoors. She really wanted to play but plays a little too rough for me. She really wanted to chase the lawn mowers. She liked chasing a stick and wanted to play keep away.
