My Story

ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13581 Hi! My name is Maggie. Im guessed to be a 4 -5 month old Terrier mixed breed dog. My weight at the moment is 21 pounds of sugar and spice. Click here to see me in foster care! My Foster Mom says: - I'm a cuddle bug who likes to lay in your lap - best snuggle buddy ever! - I'm curious and always wants to see what you are doing - Click here and here to see me in foster care! - I like to play and I can run really fast. My foster mom laughs at my zoomies - she tells me my back legs run faster then my front legs - I love chasing and playing with my foster siblings - even though I am small, I am mighty when I play - I am doing really good at my potty training and I do go on my pee pads in the house if I can't make it outside - I haven't had an accident in the house for a few days now - foster mom is so proud!!! - I love exploring outside and I love to watch my foster moms chickens and ducks and sniff all the new smells - I especially love playing outside with my foster siblings - I'm doing good walking on a leash - I can be a little insecure and don't like to be left alone BUT Foster Mom gives me a long or a chew bone and I am happy until she comes home - I sleep in my crate at night - my Foster mom gives me a nite nite treat in my crate and then I fall asleep. - I can be a little vocal - I like to talk to my toys - playfully bark at my foster siblings when I want to play - bark and whine when I want something -I will be your very best snuggle buddie - comedian - follow you everywhere and love you forever!! For my forever home, I'm searching for - Someone who won't leave me home alone for more than 4 hours, at least not until I am older. The older I am, the more I can stay home alone. I just don't want you to get mad at me if I have accidents or chew things I'm not supposed to when you leave me for too long. I'm a puppy, so I get bored quickly and when I'm bored I could get in trouble. - I am looking for my forever home, not my for right now home. So as I get bigger I need someone to teach me how to be the best dog I can be. I am young and still learning. You may want to teach me some new tricks like sit, stay, etc. Professional training will help me bond with you. That sounds like fun! - I saved the most important for last. I am hoping my new mom or dad will snuggle with me, play with me and love me forever and ever! This puppy is microchipped and up to date on age appropriate vaccines and monthly preventatives. To adopt fill out the simple online application at https://ophrescue.org Operation Paws for Homes, Inc. (OPH) rescues dogs and cats of all breeds and ages from high-kill shelters in NC, VA, MD, and SC, reducing the numbers being euthanized. With limited resources, the shelters are forced to put down 50-90% of the animals that come in the front door. OPH provides pet adoption services to families located in VA, DC, MD, PA and neighboring states. OPH is a 501(c)(3) organization and is 100% donor funded. OPH does not operate a shelter or have a physical location. We rely on foster families who open their homes to give love and attention to each pet before finding a forever home. All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.
