My Story

Placement limited to within an hour's drive of Albany, NY. We cannot currently place pets in Massachusetts. Please take a few moments to read this ENTIRE section, which should answer most of your questions. NOTE: CAPP's Facebook page was stolen and Facebook has completely ignored our requests to turn it back over to us or delete it. There are puppies posted on our Facebook page requiring a "deposit". DON'T RESPOND! It's a scam. We never ask for deposits for our pets! MAGGIE ~5 yo spayed Australian Cattle Dog, 52 pounds. Maggie is incredibly smart and she loves people and playing with polite dogs. She is a bit selective with the dogs she interacts with, so a meet and greet with another dog is necessary. She and several other dogs were rescued from a situation where their carer was overwhelmed. It is likely that she spent up to a year in an outside kennel run. She is housebroken, good on leash, and has a lot of love to give. She will be a great companion for a person or family who likes to walk or hike. She's definitely not a couch potato! Probably too playful for most cats. Application at http://capp-petplacement.org/adopt/ Submission of a completed application is the first step in the adoption process. If you have specific questions, email [email protected] (preferred) or call and leave a message at 518-292-0555. $150 adoption fee payable at the beginning of a three-week trial placement. Some of our general policies: 1) Pets can be seen ONLY BY APPOINTMENT TO APPROVED APPLICANTS. Application and general adoption fee schedule (exceptions noted in pet's description) at www.capp-petplacement.org . 2) For the safety of the dog and children, we generally DO NOT place senior dogs or dogs under 35 pounds in households where children under 8 years old either reside or visit frequently. 3) Note that, unless we have prior records on a rescued pet, ages, grown weight for puppies, breed(s), etc. are estimates/guesses only. 4) If you are interested in a CAPP pet, read CAPP's Program page on our web site which fully explains our adoption process.
