My Story

Hi, my new name is MacTavish. I just landed in a great WROC home and am so happy they brought me here. I came to my foster mom’s house matted, flea & tick ridden and my feet didn’t even have a chance to hit the floor because the tub was waiting for me. They think this is the first time I’ve ever been bathed, and I received a badly needed shave, but no worries here because my hair will grow back in no time. Glad they did, because I am so much more comfortable especially in this California weather!

I need a little more time in foster care so WROC can get to know me better. But what they do know is that I LOVE to ride in the car! I like to sit at my foster mom’s feet, but I truly do prefer to sit in her lap. I give great kisses and I love to have my belly rubbed. I am adapting wonderfully on WROC’s Westie Diet and their famous HIGHLANDER HASH is a huge hit with me! (Recipe is on their website). I have toys for the very first time and I love to play with them and shake em up! All is good here with the resident Westies! I have boys and girls to play with, a huge park to run around in and a soft bed to sleep on. No more outdoor living for me!!

I've had all my shots, microchip, neutered and they think I am approximately 4 years old. I am incredibly handsome and a very good boy, so get that application in!

Westie Love & Hugs, McTavish

Our rescues are placed on PetFinder and our website at www.WestieRescueOC.com. All of our rescues are fostered in private homes throughout California where they receive medical care and rehabilitation. Not all of our rescues are posted until they are ready for adoption as all rescues are evaluated by their foster home over a 3 - 4 week period (sometimes longer). When we place a rescue, we try to do everything we can to make this transition their very last.
