It’s hard to decide where to begin describing Mac because he is such a fantastic boy. Clearly Mac is a Lab (chocolate) mix with his lab coat, tail, body, webbed feet and personality. But his blocky head and “flying nun” ears make him look like he may have some American Bull Terrier. Whatever is mixed in with his lab look and personality results in simply a great natured dog. His coat is a deep, luxurious brown with white on his chest and feet and specking on his white toes. The Vet says Mac is 1 ½ years young and his teeth are pearly white and in great condition. So he’s youngish with puppy-like personality and playfulness. He walks nicely on leash and doesn’t pull. He weighs about 55 pounds and is full grown, though he may fill out a bit. He has a great on/off switch and he’s also laid back like a lab, preferring to sleep under the desk of his work-at-home foster mom. He is not a marker and came to us already housetrained. He loves all dogs and romps up to them with puppy-like energy. When the senior boy at the foster home tells him to leave him alone, Mac does, but wonders why any dog wouldn’t want to play with him. Mac is also living in a home with cats and quickly gained their trust. Mac loves children and has probably previously lived with kids. He is a handsome, smart, quick learner, obedient, and loving boy. He’ll lay his head in your lap and roll over for belly rubs. He doesn’t appear to have any shyness or previous abuse. He’ll do well in a busy home with lots of people, animals and activity. He would also do well with an individual who is looking for a dog that loves to hang out and go everywhere with you. He will bond quickly with his new, loving family. After just a few weeks he follows his foster mom from room to room. He’s crate trained, doggy door trained and rides well in the car.
