My Story

11/06 - ADOPTED!!!!!!!!!!! HURRAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update from Lyndon's foster mom who is a dog trainer in North Bilerica, MA: Lyndon is a great house guest. He minds his manners and settles in nicely - no jumping, counter surfing or chewing inappropriate items. Very nice leash walks with this boy too! Lyndon is an adolescent beta type dog that is up and down the scale. Once he settles and knows his place in the pack he's just so happy. Lyndon loves kids. There's no question about it. His face lights up when he sees them. Lyndon does very well with other dogs. He gives all the right signals - even to those not so hyped up to play. If a dog tells him no - he submissively licks their mouths and play bows at them. He is not a high energy dog - he does need his walks and plays with other dogs during the day though. Lyndon can be easily exercied by leash walks and/or yard runs. He does like to play with other dogs and also will be content to walk with you. Lyndon is learning he does not need to defend his meals from other dogs. He now patiently waits while his bowl is placed down and given the ok to go eat out of "his own bowl" All bowls are picked up after each meal. The perfect home for Lyndon may be a home with respectful children that would be great company to him. My nephew was feeding Lyndon "cookies" and Lyndon takes these oh so gently from his hand.

Lyndon's first foster family had him shaved so he's looking a bit different - but still the same wonderful boy! Check out his new "do" in his new pictures! Lyndon is a loving, sweet and intelligent dog who takes to training with ease! He wants to please and loves to love!! Lyndon came from Dothan Shelter in Alabama along with Jack. He was a stray and was slated for gassing in a few days. Lyndon is a loving boy - what a mistake it would have been to have left him there. He too will know what a forever home feels like when you open your door and heart to him!!!! Lyndon is a 1-2 year old Golden/Duck Toller mix. He is 55 pounds of love. He is a playful guy who was treated for heartworm infection. Be a ray of light for this Sunshine dog - make a tax deductible donation toward medical and other expenses.
