Luna’s words if she could speak….
I'm just a girl with some quirks who has been through a lot in life but I have lots of love to give if you would just give me a chance. I was born into the meat market in Korea. They didn’t treat me well at all. A nice lady bought me so I could be free. She sent me to California to my 1st real Mom who then moved to Canada but decided not to keep me due to lifestyle changes. I was broken-hearted.
My dream home:
A calm, routine environment where I feel safe.
A home where I will receive attention, affection, treats & tummy rubs.
Movie nights and cuddles would be awesome!
Walks around the neighbourhood or hikes but I must always be leashed as I am fear reactive to abrupt movements. I bark but won't bite.
When I’m scared, I sometimes might growl, but I’m a big softie on the inside!
I have doggy friends and like to play with them.

From foster:
Luna is such a quiet, sweet and easy girl who just wants to give and receive love. She doesn’t trust right away so trust has to be earned but it won’t take long if there’s yummy treats involved. She listens well and wants to appease. She understands sit, stay, come, go to your room and responds to her name so must be kept.
SHe is affectionate, loving, and playful to the person/people she has formed a bond with, However she is nervous around new people coming into the home. She will warm up with slow intro. She is normally very quiet however will bark at guests.
She has been hit in the past as she will cower if she sees your hand raised.
She likes most things that will get her a treat such as beef liver, salmon skins, strawberries, blueberries, cucumbers.
Luna will need:
- Someone who has some experience with dogs
- Someone who is 100% committed
- sometimes fear reactive toward dogs outside of home, but never bites. Might growl/bark initially if bigger than her but once she sees they are not a threat she relaxes and will even play with them
- better with people outside the home but becomes nervous when they give her attention right away.
- Extremely loving and affectionate with person she has bonded with, greets you with excitement every time, well behaved within the home. No separation anxiety. A wonderful companion.
- Highly food and toy motivated.
- Crate trained: she understands it is her safe space,
- Potty trained & needs to go out min. 3 times a day.
- Children: Untested
- Training: basic training
- Leash manners: very good on leash although may pull a little initially.
- House manners: Amazing house manners. She is not destructive, does not chew furniture or personal items, has never had an accident indoors
Thanks for considering adoption.
