Luke was a stray and ended up on death row in NE Iowa. Waverly Pet rescue took him in so tha he would not die. He is up-to-date on shots, heartworm negative, and neutered. He is living in a foster home.
Luke is about a year old and weighs 112 pounds! Please make sure your home is big enough for this boy! Luke is a BIG lover! He is housetrained and loves to lay on the floor and cuddle his toys. He is tall and thick and likes to pull on the leash when he finds something he is interested in but otherwise he walks well on a leash. He will come with a gentle leader to make it a bit easier to walk with him until he can learn to walk without pulling so hard when he spots something. Luke does not jump and doesn't beg. He likes to come in the house and lay down and then likes to go outside and run around sniffing. He enjoys kids and has surprisingly been very careful around them so not to knock them over. Luke likes other dogs and he seems to not show a lot of interest in the cats. He does get protective of the family and just needs a firm tug on the leash and the "off" command and he will continue to improve about his barking when when someone comes to the door. Continued socialization with people and time to settle into a home of his own will also help this. He is a really great boy and is good at give hugs! Will someone please adopt Luke and give him a forever home? $95.00 adoption fee.
