My Story

Lucy is eight or nine years old and so beautiful. She came into rescue with her daughter, Missy, who fortunately has found a forever home recently. Their story is quite sad, but their future could be bright. Lucy bore her daughter Missy at about a year old; they both lived with a family their entire lives until 'the divorce.' The husband got custody, and decided to just have both dogs euthanized, because he did not want to care for them anymore. Lucy is a full-blooded BC, with classic b/w good looks.

Lucy is extremely kind and well-mannered. She has no vices and no hang-ups (doesn't even chase cats!!). She came into rescue extremely dirty, matted, and obese, but now is glossy and the picture of good health. Housebroken and up to date on shots. Lucy has a lot of life and love still to give, and would make wonderful companion for a family that does not want to go through the busy-ness of the border collie baby or adolescent, and who want the joy that a more mature dog can bring to the household (kindness, steadiness, gentle evenings, long walks and a sense of humor). Will you give this girl a second chance? Email Linda Schertz to find out more about lovely Lucy. She can be reached at [email protected]
