Lucky

Lucky is a charming 10 year male Border Collie. He has also been sponsored by his former family.

This wonderful guy is here at the shelter because his former family, who had him for the past 9 1/2 years, had to surrender him because his former family was moving and couldn't take him along. It was extremely sad for the family since they really loved Lucky a lot.

Living in one home since he was a young dog, Lucky has had a great life and he is a bit confused that he is now at the shelter. All of us at the humane society adore him and are doing all that we can to help his transition. With all the TLC he is getting, Lucky is perking right up and has a spring in his step, loves going outside for walks and watching the people come and go in the lobby! Don't let his age fool you, he is still spry!

Lucky is housebroken and is excellent on a leash for walks. His favorite place to sleep is right by his people pals. He is a calm in the home however a little nervous with loud noises and fast movements. His former owner said that he is a gentle dog however he does better with adults, and older people than young kids (his former owner said young children and lots of noise make him quite nervous since he is a bit shy). So an older family or adults, without a lot of loud noise is the best for him. Lucky's former owner said that he does fine with female dogs and is fine with cats. If you have as dog, it is best to bring them with you to the shelter to meet to make sure that they get along.

Lucky is smart boy who knows commands such as sit, out, treat, hungry and come. He is a gentle dog who is very well-mannered and polite. Lucky loves to be brushed and be loved and petted. Lucky longs for someone who will spend lots of time with him, go for walks and car rides, sit next to them on the couch and talk to him nice. Lucky will make a good, faithful friend.

Lucky is a wonderful guy who will give you pure unconditional love, kisses and devotion. Lucky has known a family and love for 9 1/2 years, and hopes he will be lucky again with a second chance.
