Meet Lucky, the sweetest boy looking for his forever home! He is an almost 5-year-old maltese. He may have applications in progress, but is currently available. Lucky is a charming, energetic pup who adores being around people. He's a big cuddle bug and will be content to sit on your lap and lay by your side, always ready to offer you love and companionship. Lucky has excellent manners! He is fully potty trained and loves to go for walks around the neighborhood, exploring new scents and sights. When you get home, he waits patiently for you to remove his leash, showing off his good behavior. During mealtime, he will give you space while looking longingly at your meal, never begging but always hopeful for a little treat. One of Lucky's favorite activities is car rides. He loves to feel the wind in his hair as he sticks his head out of the window, enjoying the journey just as much as the destination. During the day, Lucky enjoys playing with his friends at daycare, where he gets to socialize and burn off some of his energy. Lucky has been going to daycare at All Paws Retreat since he was a puppy. He would come just to play for the day, get groomed or even to spend a night or two. At 4 years old, Mr. Lucky lost his person suddenly. His family was at a loss as to what to do with Lucky, so All Paws Retreat agreed to sponsor him on his journey to finding his new home. Because All Paws has been there for Lucky since day one, they are requesting as part of his adoption, that he come to All Paws at least once a week to be with his pack. Lucky is very protective of his favorite people. He can be leash reactive when meeting new people, barking and pulling at his leash. However, don't worryhe can be easily bribed with treats! With positive reinforcement and patience, Lucky is sure to become more comfortable on walks and outings, making him an even better companion. When Lucky gets little spurts of crazy boy energy, he will get the zoomies, running around in circles with pure joy. During these moments, he can be quite vocal, telling you all about his excitement and happiness. It's a delightful sight that will surely bring a smile to your face. Lucky has some grooming needs to keep him looking and feeling his best. He needs to be brushed every other day, but since he's small, it only takes about 5-10 minutes. His eyes need to be wiped if there are excessive tear stains or boogers to keep him comfortable and clean. Additionally, Lucky requires a haircut every six weeks to maintain his adorable appearance. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs.
