LOCATION: Montgomery, Texas DOB: 07/22/2023 Hi! I’m still with my owner right now. I’m looking for a foster (fosters get first option to adopt!). This way the team can get to know me better and get an all clear from the vet. Read my bio below! Lovebug, is just that: a lovable black dog with a dash of Great Dane and Belgian Shepherd Malinois. He is a concoction of charm and playful energy. He does well with other dogs in his current family, and proves to be a true companion in every sense. This fun-loving pup hasn’t socialized with other dogs outside of his current family. He has done great with the family felines. His interaction being an occasional bark at cats on the counter but losing interest just as quickly, proving that beneath his playful exterior lies a patient fellow. While Lovebug's social calendar hasn't included meetings with kids yet, his good-natured personality suggests that he's ready to spread his love to family members of all sizes. He is a large breed and is still learning manners so that needs to be taken into consideration. Shy when meeting new people, Lovebug takes his time to warm up, revealing a sweet and gentle soul that's worth the wait. House training is an ongoing adventure for Lovebug, with daily progress showcasing his determination to master the art of being a well-mannered housemate. Crate training hasn't been on his to-do list; instead, he enjoys having his own room in the house—a personal haven where he can relax. When it comes to treats, he likes to indulge in his favorites: apples, bananas, sweet potatoes, and a delightful pumpkin yogurt mix are the preference. Lovebug is a whirlwind of energy. Yet, when he's not busy bouncing around, he loves nothing more than snuggling up with his favorite humans. His affectionate nature shines through as he occasionally gently jumps up, placing his paws on your back, only to rest his head on your shoulder—a sweet gesture that melts hearts. Lovebug is a delightful mix of fun and affection, ready to bring joy and laughter to a home that appreciates his unique blend of breeds. With his love for attention and cuddles, he is sure to become an integral part of a family wanting a beloved companion.
