Louie is an 11 month old rottie/shepherd? cross. He is an active boy that loves to play and run and tussle with other dogs. He loves his people and comes often for that wonderful ear scratch and chest rub. Louie can destroy stuffed toys in a moment, would play tug all day long if allowed and is learning that when we throw the ball, if he brings it back and drops it, we will throw it again and again. This poor boy has had a hard time in his short life. First coming from the shelter he became very ill and was at the vets for several days. Then came the treatment for his mange. He had outbreaks on his feet and it was painful for him to even walk. But care, a proper diet and medications have changed all of that. Louie has now been neutered, had his rear dewclaws removed, a small hernia fixed, had his hips x-rayed and is tattooed.
Now that he is ready to go, here is what the perfect family would look like. They would be people that will continue to feed him a high quality diet, take him for obedience classes and find time to exercise both that body and brain. What would be even more perfect is to find a furry friend to spend his days with. While Louie shows no aggression, he does prefer the ladies. This may change because he has now been neutered but only time will tell. He has had a couple of run in with the boys but backs down quickly when he is put in his place. While Louie is great with teens, his joy knows no boundries and he would quickly know a child over so no small people for this boy.
Louie needs a home of his own. He does bond very quickly and the move from foster to forever home will be stressful for him. His mange may come back but is fairly easy to deal wiith. Anyone that is interested in having this active fun loving boy join their family please contact us for an adoption application.
