Meet LOUIE, an absolutely stunning 8 month old 10 pound Shih Tzu puppy looking for a home. Louie is pure delight, he loves everyone he meets and loves to give kisses. Louie is cat and dog friendly and walks wonderfully on a leash. Louie's beautiful coat will require regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling great, . Louie must go to a home in the greater Cincinnati area in order to complete the vetting covered by his adoption fee. If you'd like to meet Louie, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. Louie will NOT be attending our weekly adoption event.
All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
